SOD HOUSE
Blackroot sod taken from a ranch in northwest Banner County was
utilized to construct this building in 1985. One of the
old plows displayed in the machine shed cut the sod. Under
the supervision of several museum members, the senior high
school boys erected the soddy. Note the "cactus roof".

This coal oil stove was used for cooking.
Note the washboard and tub in the lower right-hand corner for
washing clothes.
