Picnic Shelter
:The Harrisburg Lions Club erected a
permanent picnic shelter on the museum grounds in 1983. This
structure is used quite frequently throughout the summer and
fall months by community individuals and organizations. It is
especially useful during the Flowerfield pioneer school
project. The students will eat their lunches there when the
weather is favorable. The shelter is the location of the
barbeque cook off that is held in conjunction with the museum’s
open house held each year on the first Sunday in June. The
shelter is available to the community for picnics. Reservations
should be made by calling 436-7228.
Museum Open House
will be Saturday, June 7, 2008.
